Corrosion test under the coating of weather-resistant steel "COR-TEN"

Compared to coating materials, weather-resistant steel is on average 5 times superior to copper-containing steel and 70 times superior to ordinary steel.

We present the results of a comparative test on the undercoating corrosion rate after one year of exposure for "COR-TEN," ordinary carbon steel, and 0.2% copper-containing steel that were painted. In this case, the surface treatment was phosphoric acid treatment, the primer used was a primer, and the topcoat was a urea alkyd paint. Additionally, the left photo shows the condition after 8 months of exposure, where a scratch was made diagonally to break the coating on the same test piece. As a result, our product excelled in all tests, showing an average of 5 times better performance compared to copper-containing steel and 70 times better compared to ordinary steel when compared to the coating materials. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

[Technical Data Presentation!] Copper Plate Corrosion Test

<Test for customers in the Tokai area> A test to compare the degree of corrosion by making contact with a copper plate that reacts quickly in a short time!

Matsumoto Sangyo Co., Ltd. conducts "Copper Plate Corrosion Tests." In order to ensure the physical properties of rubber, various raw materials are blended. In this test, the components of the blend contained within may corrode the materials that come into contact with the rubber. Therefore, we compare the degree of corrosion by using copper plates that react quickly. Our strength lies in being able to propose solutions to our customers after comparative evaluations. Please feel free to consult us when selecting reliable materials. A must-see for customers in the Tokai area, especially in Shizuoka, Aichi, and Yamanashi Prefectures! You can start with a consultation. Please do not hesitate to contact us. 【Test Overview】 ■Test Sample: O-Ring JIS B 2401 P-14 (Inner Diameter 13.8 x Wire Diameter 2.4) ■Compression Ratio: 25% ■Temperature & Time: 120℃ for 8 hours *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

Silicone Technology Handbook: Dissimilar Metal Contact Corrosion Testing

Evaluation of individual test specimens! Test results for "Silicolloy A2-OAG" and "SUS440" are published.

This document includes a comparison of single specimens and test bodies assembled with bolts and nuts in a dissimilar metal contact corrosion test, as well as comparisons of precipitation-hardened stainless steel and various types of stainless steel. The test bodies with bolts and nuts were combined and immersed in tap water at 65°C, and for comparison, single specimens (plate-shaped test pieces) were also evaluated. After 45 days of immersion, the test pieces were removed and photographs were taken. Please take a moment to read it. 【Contents】 ■ Test Method ■ Test Equipment ■ Test Specimen (Single) ■ Test Specimen (Bolt-Nut Combination) ■ Test Results (Single) ■ Test Results (Bolt-Nut Combination) *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.
